A Matter of Time

Your dilemma goes deeper
than having a shortage of time,
it's basically a problem of priorities.

Most people leave undone
those things that should be done,
while they do things
that they shouldn't be doing.

Set priorities for your goals.
A major part of successful living
lies in your ability
to put first things first.
Most major goals are not achieved
because people put second things first.

Is what your doing
getting you closer to your objectives?
Anything that is wasted effort
represents wasted time.

Don't serve time, make time serve you

WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN .......

PPSMI - Pendapat Ku

Inilah sepatutnya kerja kita.

Weekend Activities

The just concluded weekend was so hectic for me. Thursday nite I drove back to KL from Kepala Batas with an hour and a half stop in Tapah for a discussion. Reach home at about 10 pm. The next day we drove back to Melaka after Jumaat prayers. Stopped over in Alor Gajah for 2 hours to visit our eldest son at UNIKl. Reached my parents home at about 9pm. We got a family gathering that Saturday afternoon. The next morning I spent more time relaxing and sleeping until about 1pm. The gathering started at 3pm with barbecue, chit chatting, jamaah prayers and ended with a family meeting after Maghrrib. You can look at the photos in my facebook. We drove back to KL at 10pm that nite, reaching home at about 12 am.
The next day, we send our second son back to his school in Sabak Bernam. Reached there at about 1.30pm. Drove back right after and stopped in Kuala Selangor for a discussion. We stopped for about 90 mins and then went to Tmn Maluri Cheras for another discusion. Reached home at 9pm. Prepare to go back to Kepala Batas. Drove back at about 5.15am and reached office at 9.30am with 2 10-min naps in between.
There goes my 3-day weekend. So hectic that I wished I can have a longer weekend. Better still resign and work on my own to create that elusive residual income.

Millionaire Wealth File No 4

From the desk of T. Harv Eker . . .

You already know that rich people think differently than middle class or poor people – in every facet of life. But especially when it comes to money. That's why they're rich. Their choices and decisions just naturally produce wealth.

Rich people think with their wealth files – beliefs and attitudes that produce wealth. A few months ago, we started installing those new wealth files into your mind. With the new files come new choices. Remember that you can actually catch yourself when you're thinking like poor and middle class people. Then consciously shift your focus to think like rich people.

The concepts – the new files – you're learning are simple but very profound. They make real changes for real people in the real world.

These Action Steps are training your mind to think the way rich people think. You're well on your way to having a millionaire's beliefs and thought habits!

Just remember it's imperative you put each file into action as quickly as possible so that the knowledge can move to a physical, cellular level. So it can create lasting and permanent change.

So Here are Millionaire Mind Action Steps #7

Wealth File #4
Rich people think big.
Poor people think small.

There was a trainer at one of our seminars, not too long ago, who went from a net worth of $250,000 to over $6 million in only three years.

When we asked him what his secret was, he said, "Everything changed the moment I began to think big."

And the reason is simple. The more people you serve, the bigger your income.

Remember where, in Secrets of the Millionaire MindTM, I told you about my chain of fitness retail stores? Before I opened my first store, I intended to have a hundred successful stores. My competitor, on the other hand, had the intention of building only one successful store.

What was the result?

• She sold a lot of product -- I sold a lot more.
• She earned a decent living -- I got rich!

My question for you is this: Do you want to play in the big leagues?

Or do you want to play in the minors?
Do you want to play it big? Or play it safe?

You see, the reason most people don't choose to play it big is because they're afraid to.

But hear this: You don't have the right to play it small. Your life is not just about you. It's also about contributing your special gifts to others. To the world.

All your gifts were given to you for a reason; to use and share with as many people as possible. You need to start thinking bigger and decide to help massive numbers of people--thousands, even millions.

The more people you help, the "richer" you become, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and definitely financially.

But if you decide to indulge your ego and allow everything to revolve around you, you and nothing but you, you'll never live the life you were meant to live.

The world doesn't need more people playing small. It needs you to start playing it big.

Stop hiding out and start stepping out. Stop needing and start leading.

Start sharing your gifts. Stop hoarding them or pretending they don't exist.

It comes down to this: If not you, then who?

Small thinking and small actions lead to being broke and unfulfilled. Big thinking and big actions lead to having both money and meaning.

The choice is yours!

Action #1
Get out a notebook or a piece of paper and write down what you believe to be your "natural talents." These are things you've always been naturally good at. Also write how and where you can use more of these gifts in your life -- especially in your work life.

Action #2
Write down or brainstorm with a group of people how you can solve problems for ten times the number of people you affect in your job or business now. Come up with at least three different strategies. Think "leverage."

About The Swine Flu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Swine influenza (also swine flu, hog flu,[1] and pig flu[1]) refers to influenza caused by any strain of the influenza virus endemic in pigs (swine). Strains endemic in swine are called swine influenza virus (SIV).[1]

Of the three genera of human flu, two are endemic also in swine: Influenzavirus A is common and Influenzavirus C is rare.[2] Influenzavirus B has not been reported in swine. Within Influenzavirus A and Influenzavirus C, the strains endemic to swine and humans are largely distinct.

Swine flu is common in swine in the midwestern United States (and occasionally in other states), Mexico, Canada, South America, Europe (including the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Italy), Kenya, China, Japan, Taiwan, and other parts of eastern Asia.[1]

Swine flu is rare in humans. People who work with swine, especially people with intense exposures, are at risk of catching swine influenza if the swine carry a strain able to infect humans. However, these strains infrequently circulate between humans as SIV rarely mutates into a form able to pass easily from human to human. In humans, the symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of influenza and of influenza-like illness in general, namely chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pains, severe headache, coughing, weakness and general discomfort.

The 2009 flu outbreak in humans that is widely known as "swine flu" apparently is not due to a swine influenza virus. It is due to a new strain of influenza A virus subtype H1N1 that derives from one strain of human influenza virus, one strain of avian influenza virus, and two separate strains of swine influenza virus. The origins of this new strain are unknown, and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) reports that this strain has not been isolated in swine.[3] It passes with apparent ease from human to human, an ability attributed to an as-yet unidentified mutation.[4] The strain in most cases causes only mild symptoms and the infected person makes a full recovery without requiring medical attention and without the use of antiviral medicines.[5]

Multi Vitamins and Immune System

An article published in the British Journal of Nutrition summarizes the roles of select vitamins and trace elements in immune function. Adequate intakes of micronutrients are required for the immune system to function efficiently. Micronutrient deficiency suppresses immunity by affecting antibody responses, leading to imbalances in the immune system. This situation increases susceptibility to infections, which increases disease and death risk. In addition, infections aggravate micronutrient deficiencies by reducing nutrient intake, increasing losses, and interfering with utilization by altering metabolic pathways. Inadequate intakes of micronutrients are common in people with eating disorders, smokers (active and passive), individuals with chronic alcohol abuse, certain diseases, during pregnancy and lactation, and in the elderly.Micronutrients contribute to the body's natural defenses on three levels by supporting physical barriers (skin/mucosa), cellular immunity, and antibody production. Vitamins A, C, E, and the mineral zinc assist in enhancing the skin barrier function. Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, E, and folic acid, and the minerals iron, zinc, copper and selenium work synergistically to support the protective activities of the immune cells. Finally, all these micronutrients, with the exception of vitamin C and iron, are essential for the production of antibodies.Overall, inadequate intake and status of these vitamins and minerals may lead to a suppressed immune system, which increases the risk of infections and aggravates malnutrition. Therefore, supplementation with a multivitamin that includes these micronutrients can support the body's natural defense system by enhancing all three levels of immunity.

Preseverance / Istiqamah(tekad&Sabar)

"One of the commonest mistakes and one of the costliest is thinking that success is due to some genius, some magic - something or other which we do not possess. Success is generally due to holding on, and failure to letting go. You decide to learn a language, study music, take a course of reading, train yourself physically. Will it be success or failure? It depends upon how much pluck and perseverance that word "decide" contains. The decision that nothing can overrule, the grip that nothing can detach will bring success. Remember the Chinese proverb, "With time and patience, the mulberry leaf becomes satin." Raymond Hollohan - MMoguls Affilliate

Meetings

Today I had a meeting that started from 9.30am and ended at 5.30pm. I have always felt that meetings should not be more than 2-3 hours. Meetings that last more than that are usually 50% percent effective. This is my opinion. Others might not agree.
How many of us have always feel that meetings are always dragging. Most of the time we felt that we should not be there in the first place. Of all the items in the meeting, there is only one item that effected us and we had to wait for one or two hours just to participate in the meeting. And the item was discussed for 15 minutes.
Management nowadays love meetings. If you call to an office, most of the times the top executives are always in a meeting. Are meetings running our companies or government offices nowadays? Cant we have short discussions instead? Or meetings where everyone is standing so that items can be discussed faster and resolutions or solutions are being thought out or discussed before the meetings. Meetings are to discussed outcomes, solutions and actions to be done. They should be fast and to the points. They should not be brainstorming sessions. Brainstorming sessions should be in small groups. While meetings can be in bigger groups but they should be result oriented. If a solution takes too long to be agreed upon, form a team to have a separate discussion on the item and ask the team to prepare a paper and distribute the notes of the discussion and the options to the other members of the meeting quorum. Next meeting have a vote to decide the action to be taken.
Most of us have a lot of things to do and meetings sometimes make our work more stressful due to the time they take.

That is my two cents worth for today.

22nd April 2009-Are we slaves?

I am still at the office not due to abundance of work but rather it is easier to work when the office is kind of empty. Two hours work during normal office hours can be cut to one hour or even 45 minutes.
At these times I can reflect what are the issues today, the problems, my wife, my children, my work, politics, business, money issues. Wow lot of issues eh.
Working outstation and being a weekend husband and father has its advantanges and disadvantages as any other things in the world. But being 40+  I think it has taken its toll on me. I looked forward to the weekends and dread the travelling back to work on sunday nite or monday morning. The only thing that have kept me from quiting is that I need the money. Just as millions out there who wanted to do something else, work somewhere else but couldn't because they need the money that they are getting from their present jobs.
Are we being slaves to our work, to money??
Adakah kita kini walaupun dianggap a freeman, tetapi sebenarnya hanyalah hamba kepada kerja kita, gaji kita, pemimpin kita, media kita?? Do we have choices??? Do we want to be told what to do everytime, be it by our bosses, our leaders, our media, our salaries? Hey you cant quit, who else can give you this much money? Hey you need the money, your chidren need the money, your parents need some money?
So what to do? Just plough through, always try to find opportunities to better yourself, pray to God, Ask to God. Just hope that if we need to work for the money, the work is something that we are excited about, something that we love to do. As some smart people say, You cant be successful(happy, wealthy, etc.) until you do the things that you love.

SO, GO AND FIND THAT WORK THAT YOU LOVE AND EXCITED ABOUT. STOP COMPLAINING!!!
